GrandRiver’s Grace Under Foot

Gracie served as our yellow foundation bitch and she produced very lovely puppies including Sulley, Midge, Mack & Hotlips. Most of our yellows go back to her. Gracie LOVED puppies – in her mind, she would mother every litter here given the opportunity to sneak into the whelping box to spend time with puppies.

Gracie spent her senior years living with the love of her life – my oldest son Tony.  Tony told me for years that once he graduated from college, Gracie was going to live with him.  I prayed that she lived long enough to do that and she did.  What a team they were and Tony’s wife became a dog lover! Leah’s FB post – Never in a million years would I have thought I’d be saying goodbye to you tonight Gracie girl. You were one extremely loved dog. You had the honor of being Tony’s first love 13 years ago when you came into this world and I had the absolute pleasure of loving you for the past 11. I don’t know how I’m going to come home every day without being greeted by you or make dinner without you standing in my way in the kitchen or not being able to take you on walks during the summer. You’re in a better place now. Rest easy sweet girl we love you so much.
